Default re-upholstered my boat (pics)

I know its not a rod but some rods do have nice uphostery!...lol...I bought this boat just before summer and got it for a steal because the interior was totally shot! Even the wood behind the vinyl was rotted beyond repair. But it runs great and is a solid boat. So I bought me a cheap singer sewing machine from Wally world and proceeded to get'r done! Now dont go thinking I did the roll and pleat...no fkn way am I that talented! Its a marine vinyl heated pleat. No stiches for water to get behind. The only thing I had to sew was the yellow pleats to the white pleats to give it a little splash of color. I used monofiliment thread and sealed it from behind with clear silicone. The boat is white and teal so I did the inside in white and teal but added the yellow just to make it pop! Also put in new teal marine grade carpet and used marine plywood. These are the before pics....Notice that in Pic #3 there wasnt even any kind of upholstery on the sides. I cut new wood and put the vinyl on the sides.

I was always of the opinion that the pre-pleated boat material would be the way to go on car door panels .... looks good!
